Ella Saltmarshe’s work pivots around creativity & building a better world. She does this as a writer, through her work mobilising the creative industries to tackle social and environmental issues, and as an expert in systems change.
She is an experienced leader working across sectors. Trained as an anthropologist, she has spent the last fifteen years working in international development, the creative industries and public policy.
Ella takes a systemic approach to solving the big, complex problems we face today and is passionate about the role of culture in social change. She is a co-founder of the Comms Lab, a systemic initiative focused on the advertising industry working on an industry, agency & individual level and the Point People, an organisation focused on systems change. Recent work in this area includes co founding systemschangers.com with the University of Oxford; co-authoring with the Said Business School; and co-designing the Systems Changers programme to enable the insights of frontline workers to have greater systemic impact with The Lankelly Chase Foundation.
Ella is also writer working in different mediums. Her agent for stage and screen is Emily Hickman at The Agency. Her journalism has been published in The Financial Times, ID, Wired, Monocle, Fast Company & Creative Review.
