corporate CSR case study – Ad2One

Rebecca Hatchett, S.I.D.E Project Founder developed a Create+ Digital Skills (CDS) for London based charity, Vital Regeneration.

CDS aims to support young people to develop marketable digital skills, gain work experience and move into paid internships and jobs, using digital media as the vehicle.

Young people, aged 14-25, get to work alongside creative industry professionals to deliver a real brief for a client. CDS creative briefs so far have included promotional films, music videos and music tracks. CDS typically runs over an 11-week period and includes creative workshops, a Broze Arts Award and progression support.

In this CDS project Rebecca engaged Ad2One as the partnering business and ‘Corporate Client’. With the support of professional film maker and S.I.D.E Associate, Mmoloki Chrystie, a group of young people aged 18-24 produced this promotional video.

As part of the project Ad2One also offered 6 Paid Digital Internships to the young people who most impressed them.

In return Ad2One benefitted from a professional standard promotional video and added CSR value to their brand.

Following the project, AD2ONE Group said: “We were looking for a local charity to connect with and really liked the work Vital Regeneration was doing with young people.  We thought the Digital Skills project was very unique and innovative and offered real potential for young people to gain work experience and links into the digital industry.  We enjoyed acting as ‘a client’ and the young people responded so professionally and creatively to the brief we gave them, it quite similar to working with a creative agency.  To be honest we were surprised and very impressed at the professional quality of the promotional film we made, we will defiantly use it on our website and look forward to having a few of the young people on board as interns”.
