Associate – Nicky Chambers

RSA Fellow; PGCE; Clore Leadership Programme, MA Cultural and Creative Industries. Cultural/Social entrepreneur, facilitator, connector, mentor and thought leader of 20+ years experience – Nicky brings to S.I.D.E Projects a passion for supporting personal development; a commitment to open opportunities for all and creating innovative structures for change.

Nicky is Co-Founder Nutbrook Studios/The Dye House – artists’ studios and creative hub and Director of Pexmas, a festivals and events social enterprise, which designs and curates interventions that offer catalysts for change and champion the power of connectivity. She is also an advisor and consultant for other organisations, including the Diverse Leaders Network, Spark and Mettle, Young People in the Arts and a Lead Mentor with The Girls Network.

Nicky has just delivered a large scale National Pilot of Garage Sale Trail; a programme proven to help reduce waste by promoting re-use as well positively changing participants perception of their neighbourhood. Garage Sale Trail is currently working on delivering Nationally in 2016, where it will enable people to create new connections within their neighbourhoods, as well as having a positive impact on the local economy.

In addition to this, Nicky is consulting for Change Please, a Big Issue supported Social Enterprise that empowers homeless people with the skills, equipment, speciality beans and housing to become fully-fledged baristas with a home of their own, as well as for other individuals/organisations; innovating around and creating opportunities on such things as business development and connecting the dots.
